Chancellor Park Long Term Care facility is approximately 15000m2 (160,000sf) six-story structure, including two levels of parking located at 274 Portugal Cover Road. The Facility is constructed to meet LEED certification.
The Structural system consists of cast-in-place concrete fub-structure and superstructure along with steel beams, joists and columns for the canopy and other miscellaneous framing.
Scope of Services
DBA was responsible for design of the sub-structural and super-structure, as part of a Design-Bid-Build tender. DBA also completed some aspects of the enveloped design, including Curtain Wall Shops and Steel Stud shop drawings for the Sub-Trades. DBA was also part of the Contract Administration team during construction.
Design Challenges
The new facility is constructed to the existing facility which remained fully operational during construction.
